League Tables
League tables are published to communicate schools' attainment levels from the previous 12 months. These tables include information such as the number of pupils on roll, the number and percentage of pupils with SEN, absence statistics and the achievement levels in English, Mathematics and Science.
Our current and historic league table data enables you to identify high or low performing schools and target these establishments with your resources.
Value Added Measures (VAM)
Some students will always find it difficult to do well in tests and examinations. It may be, for example, that they have significant special educational needs. All students, however, are capable of making progress and it is important that schools are given recognition for the work that they do with these students.
Value added measures are intended to allow comparisons between schools with different student intakes. For example, students attending school A may achieve above average results when they take their exams while students at school B may achieve below average. In value added terms, however, the students at school B may have made more progress than other students nationally, relative to their starting point (KS2 or KS3 tests), and therefore have a higher value added score than school A. VAM scores measure the progress students have made from one stage of their education to another.
Our current and historic VAM data enables you to identify high or low performing schools and target these establishments with your resources.
