Action Plan for SEN

Following Brian Lamb's review of Special Educational Needs, the Government launch an action plan to implement the reports recommendations

Special Educational Needs in Northern Ireland

The Northern Ireland Executive’s review of Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision, “Special Educational Needs and Inclusion” nears its end, with proposals now with the Executive for approval, prior to consultation
The review aims to raise awareness and develop a holistic approach to education of SEN, and addresses the recent increase in levels of pupils with SEN
The number of SEN pupils have increased from 14.5% in 2003 to 18.6% in 2008
