E-Business
E-business - fast, measurable and highly cost-effective...
The DMA report "National Client Email Marketing Survey" (Jan 2008) found that 90% of e-marketers sent more emails in 2007 than in any previous year, and the trend is set to continue.
How important is e-marketing?
During 2009, we broadcasted 2.4 million emails to schools on behalf of our clients, and that’s not including those customers using their own booths in our e-marketing software.
Why?
- Comparatively low cost
- Faster responses; i.e. no waiting for postal delivery
- Drives traffic to your website easier; most would rather click a link than type it in
- Knowledge: who received, who opened, who clicked and who bought
- Clear and accessible Return on Investment calculations
- Reduced carbon footprint compared to direct mail
- Less labour intensive than direct mail
While direct mail still gains the greatest number of responses proportionately, most educational suppliers are now taking a multi-channel approach in marketing to schools.

A multi-channel marketing approach increases responsiveness through promoting direct and unequivocal contact.
